St. Pauli vs Dynamo Dresden

Olaf Jansen is expecting a better season this term after a disappointing 7th placed finish term. The team must be fighting for promotion spots and this can be achieved only with a vast improvement in goal scoring department. Pauli scored a meager 39 goals from their 34 matches.

On top of that, St. Pauli failed to make the home advantage count throughout the campaign. They managed just 5 wins from the 17 home matches last season and were placed in the bottom half of home-record table.Dynamo Dresden had a fruitful season last term and finished 5th in the standings.

It is a massive achievement for a team that just got promoted to the second division. The team excited the fans with their attacking display, netting 53 goals in total and finished second in the goal-scoring tally. However, the 46 goals conceded in return means they are not stable in the defensive department.

Dresden start their 2017/18 campaign with a 1-0 home win against Duisburg. It was a cagey affair and Lucas Roser netted the lone goal with 2 minutes left on the clock.
